Yes. Passwords and credit card information is safe. We don't sell your information to anyone. Ever.
Credit card information is captured on a secure page using a minimum of 128-bit encryption technology and up to 2048-bit encryption, depending on your browser. We use Stripe for credit card transactions, so we do not store any credit cards -- all credit card information is stored at Stripe. (If you have access to a subscription product we simply let Stripe know it's time to bill again and they reference the card they have on file.)
Nobody has access to your passwords, which is why we can't send them to you or tell you what they are; we can only help you re-set them. Passwords are stored on our servers using "Password Salting," an industry standard encryption technology that ensures nobody can get your password.
As of 2014 our entire site is served using HTTPS secure encryption technology. So all changes to your profile, forum posts, and even quiz submissions and basically anything you view or submit online on our site happens over a secure connection.
